What image is Obama trying to repair?

This has me puzzled. President Obama is visiting the Arab world this week, speaking in Cairo, to "repair" America's image in the Arab/Muslim world.

Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Aren't the Saudi's whom Obama made his first visit to, the ones spending billions of dollars exporting radical Islam known as "Wahabism" around the world?

Aren't the Muslims the ones threatening world domination to replace Judaism and Christianity with (radical) Islam?

Who was it that beheaded Daniel Pearl? American mercenaries or radical Muslims?

Which culture condones beheadings, public stoning, forced marriage, torture, honor killings, suicide bombings, suppressing minorities and women? American (culture) or Arabic / Muslim?

Yet it is an American president who thinks a US public relations tour is in order?

Obama administration ready to abandon Israel

I have frequently stated that the two greatest threats to Israel are radical/ideological Islamists and powerful Jewish liberals. I laughed at my Jewish friends who "assured" me that Israel would be safe during an Obama administration because his chief of staff, Rahm Emmanuel, a Jew with strong connections to Israel, would serve as "gatekeeper."
According to the Jerusalem Post, Thwarting Iran's nuclear program is conditional on progress in peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians, according to White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel.
In other words, Israel has to give in to Palestinian terrorists or the US will not support Israel in its attempts to prevent Iran from gaining the weapons it will surely use to threaten Israel's existence.

Barack Obama's new "Morality"

With the revocation of the Bush administrations justice departments interrogation techniques, Barack Obama declared that "America has regained it's moral standing around the world."

How is that now?

By handcuffing the CIA's ability to extract information from blood-thirsty killers about impending mass murder attacks against American civilians, somehow, this is "moral?"

Who's approval is Obama seeking that he declares his policies more "moral" than that of his predecessor?

Does Obama think his new morality play will place us in a more favorbale light with Europe? If so, how will things from here on in benefit us? Will Europe now join us in the "war on terror?" Will they send more troops to help the US in Afghanistan?
Don't exert too much brain power on these questions. The answer is no.

And while we are allowing Barak Obama to redefine what America's morals are, I have a few questions for him:

Is it moral to put the squeeze on Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East, to make concessions that risk its very survival to a terrorist people?
(I hope attendees at this weeks AIPAC convention will ask that question to Democrat officials professing their support for Israel)

Does Barack Obama feel America has regained its "moral leadership" by supporting abortion at any stage, 24/7, on healthy viable babies?

Does Barack Obama feel we have regained our "moral leadership" by supporting same sex marriage?

Does Barack Obama feel superior by pitting Americans against one another by demonizing executives in the corporate world?

Or Does Barak Obama believe that America's "morality" is defined by weakening our security, leaving this country's citizens vulnerable to more terrorist attacks so that the rest of the world will love us?

Profile of an American Who Can't Think for himself

Like many Americans, I have my points of view and ideoligical outlook, but I would never give anybody, especially an elected official, a blank check to do whatever he/she wants.

But then I came across an interview with singer Tony Bennett, a man whom I thought had a slight degree of intellect and self respect. Someone who had the ability to think for himself. But I was wrong.

Grammy-award winning musician Tony Bennett told CNSNews.com he “loves everything” Barack Obama has done in his first 100 days as president and thinks every American should “give him all-out support for anything he wants to do.” Bennett further said that Americans should imitate the other countries of the world that support Obama. “I really hope that every citizen of the United States would imitate the rest of the world because they’re all for Obama,” said Bennett. “Every other country adores what happened – in our great country – to have him as president.”

Obama and Clinton blackmail Israel .....

Never has Israel ever faced the kind of threats to its survival as she is today.
On the one hand, Iran is threatening to attack Israel with nuclear weapons and on the other side we have Hamas sitting on Israels border attacking daily with rockets smuggeld in from other countries, including Iran.
Now the Obama administration is threatening the Netanyahu government that unless they are willing to support a two state solution which means having a terror state on its border, Israel will not be able to count on international support, including US support (remember that at the AIPAC conference in 2 weeks) in her possible preemptive strike against Iran's nuclear facilities.

"For Israel to get the kind of strong support it is looking for vis-a-vis Iran, it can't stay on the sidelines with respect to the Palestinians and the peace efforts. They go hand in hand," she told the House of Representatives Appropriations Committee

Israel has been warned

As Barack Obama concludes his adulationfest with Europe, he leaves no doubt in anyones mind what his plans are for Israel. By telling our "allies" (who can't stand us) that America, has in the past, been arrogant, dismissive, derisive in our realtionship with the Europeans, he is signalling a new day in US/EUrelations.

The problem is that the main thrust between our strained relations has been our stance on Israel versus the European position. Europe is rife with anti-semitism and pro-Arabism. With the exception of Great Britain, which also harbors antipathy towards Israel, the EU has actively worked against our interests, "remember the war on terror?" And why? Because the EU resents our taking the lead in any anti Arab war unless it includes provisions to address the Palestinian issue. In fact, the EU has consistantly acted against the US in the United nations whenever there were votes to condemn Israel.
By promising to be more respectful of Europe and to enhance our relations with them, Obama has in essence, promised that Israel will no longer be able to count on US support the way it has in the past.

Yes to terrorism and radical Islam, No to Israel, the ONLY democracy in the Middle East.

If Barack Obama can fire the CEO of GM, don't think that he doesn't believe he can force Netanyahu's hand either.

Israel, you have been warned.

I can't believe what Obama is planning to do next

I am watching Fox News and my jaw is on the ground. Neil Cavuto is interviewing an "activist" who is supporting a new bill being proposed in Congress giving ILLEGAL ALIENS in - state tuition costs for college, and in the next segment I see that the United Nations is proposing "wealth redistribution" under the guise of combating global energy reform.

In the next segment, I am reading on the chyron (floating screen at the bottom), that the Intelligence director is hinting or considering giving welfare benefits to former Gitmo detainees. Please tell me that I'm really sleeping and that all of this is a nightmare.

This administration must be stopped, and the Pelosi/Reid Congress must be defeated in 2010, otherwise we will get what we deserve.

No Hillary, It's not America's fault.

In classic blame America first , Hillary Clinton, in explaining why we are giving Mexico $80 million to fight the "drug war," told the world that it's "America's fault" that there is such heavy drug trafficking (and crime) crossing the Mexican border into our country.

No Hillary, it is NOT America's fault. It is the fault of those who choose to do drugs, the choice of those who choose to ruin their lives or take dangerous risks.

These are the same people who say it's "our fault" we were attacked on 9-11 or "our fault" the world hates us,..... The left cannot run out of reasons why "it's our fault....."

Well, it's not our fault. America is the greatest country on earth, and it will continue to be the greatest unless we allow the left to take over and turn our sovereignty over to our enemies.

Israel will need us more than ever

NYT THURSDAY: Israel's growing international isolation as Netanyahu prepares to take power... Developing...

According to the Drudge Report, the NY Times will be reporting that Israel will face greater international isolation with the election of Benjamin Netanyahu.

This, of course, should come as no surprise. The world ignored the thousands of rockets fired into Israel and only woke up when Israel retaliated. Israel has made every possible concession to her enemies at grave risk to her own security. Can you say "Gaza evacuation?"

Now that a majority of voters in Israel have come to their senses and have elected a more clear thinking party, Likud,who had known all along that the Arab world has only ONE desire, and that is the total annihilation of the Jewish State, the concessions will stop. There will be no more "land for piece" and this has the international community up in arms. More disturbing is the new pressure coming from the Obama administration, led by Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton.

The phone calls to the White House and US Senators must be relentless. Particulalry, Senator Chuck Schumer, who campaigned hard for Hillary Clionton when she ran for her senate seat in New York, and who has also carried the water for this administration.

The real numbers behind the AIG bonuses

We are watching the DC weasels screaming about the $165 million bonuses handed out to AIG executives. Barack Obama on down want us to believe that they are truly outraged on behalf of the American taxpayers - that's us.

Here is where the real dollars went from AIG:

$13 billion (that's billion) to Goldman Sachs

$7 billion (that's billion) to Merrill Lynch

$5 billion (that's billion) to Bank of America

and over $40 billion (that's billion) to affiliated banks in Europe.

So let's see, moral outrage and indignation over exec bonuses of $165 million (that's million) while this very company doled out mega billions to other institutions.

This can be a very long and painful 4 years or the American people can say "no more" and bombard our elected officials until the phones ring off the hook.

Obama reneges on promise to wounded vets

During the campaign for president, Barak Obama and other Democrats, hell-bent on proving their pro-military "cred's" promised health care for injured vets. Like his other promises, the great speech maker made some war and fuzzy speeches as candidiate, and is now going back on his word as commander in deceit.

The Obama administration recently revealed a plan to require private insurance carriers to reimburse the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in such cases.

When is it okay to hope the president fails?

.....When you're a Democrat and the president is a Republican.

Recently, Rush Limbaugh's words, "I hope the president fails" has become a lightning rod for critics of the conservative wing of the Republican party. What has been described as a concerted effort by White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel and leading Democrat strategists like James "the serpent" Carville, and Paul "the forehead" Begala to create a rift within the Republican party by intentionally taking Rush's words out of context.

What Rush had said, and I fully agree with, is that he wants Obama's (socialist) policies to fail to gain traction. And who in their "right" mind wouldn't want socialism to fail? I love America, I despise France.

Alas, Rush is not the first prominent pundit to hope the president of the opposition fails, but we would never know that if we had to rely on the mainstream media.

"We rush into these focus groups with these doubts that people have about him, and I'm wanting them to turn against him," Greenberg admitted.

In 2006, 51 percent of Democrats wanted Bush to fail, according to a FOX News/Opinion Dynamics poll.

Liberal fascism looks to silence talk radio

If the Democrats succeed in passing the "Fairness Doctrine" or any variation of it, does that mean that the next time Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity say something in support of Israel, which is often, that the networks will have to give equal time to pro-hamas voices?

I would urge supporters of Israel to call their Democrat elected officials and ask them if they support giving pro-Hamas voices access to our airwaves.

Where are Chuck and Joe?

In 2000, Hillary Clinton, desperate for Jewish votes in her US Senate bid in her new home, New York, campaigned with Jewish senators Chuck Schumer D-NY, and Joe Lieberman D-CT, who promised Jewish voters that they won't have a better friend to Israel than Hillary Clinton. Hillary smiled on the campaign trail, whispering to herself, "I can't believe how gullible these people are."

Now that she is Secretary of State, she is revealing her true colors as an Israel basher. Attacking Israel for blocking aid to Gaza,.... for not keeping to the letter of the Road Map (for peace),.... and Jewish "leaders" like Mort Zuckerman are disappointed, saying this isn't the Hillary they thought they knew.

Shame on all of you for your willful ignorance!

It will be interesting to see if supporters of Israel will call Schumer's and Lieberman's office and ask them why they are now silent after they promised us that Hillary would be "our friend."

A Two - State Solution is Unacceptable

Hillary Clinton making her first trip to Israel as Secretary of State declared that "a two - state solution is inescapable."

Wrong Hillary!!!!

Not only is it "escapable," it is unacceptable.

This is a battle Israel has been fighting for almost 6 decades.

How many more Israeli's must be killed?
How many more wars must Israel fight?
How many more kidnappings and abductions must Israeli's face?
How many more rocket attacks must Israel endure?
How many more world condemnations must Israel have to defend itself against?
How many boycotts must Israel suffer through?
How many more......until we wake up and accept the irrefutable fact that the Arab world wants nothing but the total annihilation of the Jewish State of Israel?

Big, Big shock - Jewish leaders are surprised that their beloved Hillary Clinton has now turned on Israel, harshly criticizing the government for not moving quicker on allowing aid to Gazaans.

For decades, prior to her becoming Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY), she had an animus towards Israel. She belonged to and associated with groups that were sympathetic to the Palestinian cause.

Then when she ran for Senate from New York, capital of Jewish America, she had a makeover as Israel's new best friend, and neither Vice Presidential candidate Joe Lieberman (D-CT) nor Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) were shy in their support for her candidacy - both assuring Jewish voters that Hillary will vote the "right way" on Israel. I can forgive Lieberman because he has since done penance for his association with the Democrat left in Washington, but Chuck Schumer has become even more arrogant and pompous. Yet, I have no doubt that when he runs for re-election, he'll have no trouble on getting support from the pro-Israel Jewish community.

A Simple Question for my Congresswoman

I received an email today from an Obama operative named Mitch Stewart. In his email, which is going all over the country, he asked me to contact and thank my senator, Chuck Schumer and congresswoman, Carolyn McCarthy (who I ran to unseat in 2002) for supporting the stimulus bill known as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

I am going to call both my elected officials, phone numbers were provided in the email, and ask them 1 simple question: Did you or your aides read the bill before voting "Yes" for it?

Obama appoints critic of Israel to top Intelligence Post

To those easily conned Jews who believed that the appointment of Rahm Emmanuel to Chief of Staff would somehow provide "gate-keeper" status to protect Israel's security, just a month into his presidency, Barack Obama has selected as his chief Intelligence adviser, long time critic of Israel, Chas Freeman Jr..

Typical of Freeman's viewpoints is a statement he made in a speech before the Washington Institute of Foreign Affairs in 2007, in which he more or less blames international terrorist acts on Israel: "American identification with Israeli policy has also become total. Those in the region and beyond it who detest Israeli behavior, which is to say almost everyone, now naturally extend their loathing to Americans. This has had the effect of universalizing anti-Americanism, legitimizing radical Islamism, and gaining Iran a foothold among Sunni as well as Shiite Arabs. For its part, Israel no longer even pretends to seek peace with the Palestinians; it strives instead to pacify them. Palestinian retaliation against this policy is as likely to be directed against Israel’s American backers as against Israel itself. Freeman also is a strong advocate of talking to Hamas, which he says "is the only democratically-elected government in the Arab world."

Are Washington politicians idiots?

That's obviously a rhetorical question. We've seen and heard liberal democrats bash corporate leaders who flew in their "corporate jets" into DC asking for bailout loans. The temerity of these people to fly, rather than drive.

The recent "stimulus bill" that Obama signed into law provides tax breaks for corporations who purchase company jets.

How many more examples of idiocy do you think there is in the 1000 plus page bill that these politicians didn't even bother to read before they shoved it down our throats?

In Your Face (Israel bashers)

Even those who aren't particularly sympathetic to Israel 's Benjamin Netanyahu, could get a good measure of satisfaction from this interview with British Television this week. I guess it can be attributed to Minister Netanyahu's days studying history at Harvard.
The interviewer asked him: "How come so many more Palestinians have been killed in this conflict than Israelis?" (A nasty question if there ever was one!)


Netanyahu: "Are you sure that you want to start asking in that direction?"

Interviewer: (Falling into the trap) Why not?

Netanyahu: "Because in World War II more Germans were killed than British and Americans combined, but there is no doubt in anyone's mind that the war was caused by Germany 's aggression.
And in response to the German blitz on London , the British wiped out the entire city of Dresden , burning to death more German civilians than the number of people killed in Hiroshima .
Moreover, I could remind you that in 1944, when the R.A.F. tried to bomb the Gestapo Headquarters in Copenhagen , some of the bombs missed their target and fell on a Danish children's hospital, killing 83 little children . Perhaps you have another question?"

Obama's smooth talking non-sense

Today, February 17, 2009, President Barack Obama (D) declared that this new stimulus bill, is "the beginning of the end" ..... setting our economy on the right path towards economic recovery.

This is the biggest government grab in our country's history. If Obama is correct - that this record spending bill is the "first step" towards the path we should be on, we are well on our way towards socialism.

In his speech, he referenced the names of presidents who were in office when most of us weren't alive.

How many people even know what "The New Deal" was?

Obama is taking the same approach as the little boy who tells his father who is broke, "just write a check." Problem is, if the father does that, he goes to jail for writing bad checks. When politicians do it, they get re-elected.

Britain Bans Anti-Islam Dutch MP

Below is but one example of the power, threat, danger, and attempt at world domination that Islam is spreading throughout the Western civilization.

Worse, these are the very people President Barak Obama believes he can negotiate with in good faith and establish a relationship based on mutual understanding and respect.

British officials detained Dutch Member of Parliament Geert Wilders on Thursday as he tried to enter the country despite a government warning that he had been banned. Wilders reported Thursday afternoon that he was being held at Heathrow airport and would soon be forcibly returned to the Netherlands.

Wilders had flown to Britain in hopes of showing his anti-Islam film “Fitna.” The film intersperses verses from the Koran with images of Muslim violence in an attempt to demonstrate that Islam teaches violence and hatred.

Fireproof - The Movie

It's the weekend so I am taking a brief break from politics, and watched the movie Fireproof, starring Kirk Cameron. The movie has a heavy Christian theme but deals with a couple, who like millions in this country, are on the brink of divorce, but through faith are able to save their marriage.

I cried like a baby, in a masculine way of course, and highly recommend the movie to everyone.

As a note, the acting isn't that great, but the theme and message are very, very powerful.

Marriage requires work and compromise from both sides.

Helen Thomas baits Obama to go after Israel

The "brilliant," legendary, Old, journalist/columnist/Republican hater Helen Thomas got to ask President Obama a question during his first press conference. Her question? After asking whether the taliban, whom she referred to as "so-called terrorists," were hiding out in Pakistan, proceeded to ask whether the president knew of or believed that any country in the middle east possesed nuclear weapons, a clear attempt to get Obama to single out Israel.

The Obama Tax Cheat machine

I wrote about this earlier, but it seems that the tax cheat machine for Obama's cabinet nominees doesn't end. This is from today's New York Post editorial:

* Former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle ponied up $120,000 in back taxes to save his nomination as secretary of health and human services. He lost the gig anyway - but not before being strongly backed by Obama.

* Nancy Killefer, a former director at McKinsey & Co., withdrew her name from consideration for the new position of chief performance officer because of a failure to pay unemployment taxes for domestic help at her DC home. The $946.69 bill was paid only after a lien was placed on her house.

* New York Federal Reserve Bank President Tim Geithner was confirmed as treasury secretary, despite not paying - until his nomination - more than $43,000 in self-employment taxes from 2001-2004.

* And now, the husband of Labor Secretary-designate Solis had tax liens on his California auto-repair shop dating back 16 years, until finally settling them last week. Her nomination remains unresolved.

Is Venezuela the next Germany?

I never, ever throw around the "Nazi" or "Hitler" name glibly. Politicians do it all the time. Activists do it all the time to discredit opponents. So when I say that Jews in Venezuela are in grave danger and that the ground is fertile for the same kind of attacks as occurred in the 1930's against the German Jewish community; destroying of businesses, Jews being fried from their jobs,..... I'm not saying it for effect. Here is a partial from the AP printed in New York Newsday, Feb. 7, 2009.


Police are now posted outside the synagogue, and prosecutors said Friday that the security guards "could be involved." Venezuela's attorney general ordered them to court on Feb. 13 - two days before Venezuelans vote in a referendum that could enable Chávez to extend his rule indefinitely.

A week before the invasion, a Chavista columnist named Emilio Silva posted a call to action on Aporrea, a pro-government Web site, describing Jews as "squalid" - a term Chávez often uses to describe his opponents as weak - and exhorting Venezuelans to confront them as anti-government conspirators.

"Publicly challenge every Jew that you find in the street, shopping center or park," he wrote, "shouting slogans in favor of Palestine and against that abortion: Israel."

"The American People Voted for Change"

That's what President Obama said in an angry response to Republicans who won't go along with the Nancy Pelosi/Harry Reid spending bill. Well, you're right Mr. President, the American people voted for change, but unfortunately you never articulated what that change would be.
You didn't promise the American people that you would spend hundreds of millions of dollars on STD prevention, or billions for student aid, expanded welfare and health-care benefits, the hundreds of millions for better museums and prettier government buildings, and the millions for smoking-cessation programs and bee insurance, yes, bee insurance, to protect bee keepers potential losses if and when bees die off and can't produce honey.
These "much needed" programs that the president warns we must protect NOW to avoid an "irreversible" economic crises, never ONCE came up during the campaign. Hillary was right when she said that Obama was great at giving "speeches."

Voters may have voted for change, but they didn't vote for a train wreck.

The "Hiccup" administration

President Obama promised, HE PROMISED, the most ethical, transparent administration in history. Just as Bill Clinton did before him. We also had such "promises" from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi - that her Congress was going to be different from previous congresses.

So let's look at some of the president's cabinet appointments:

Tim Geitner for Secretary of the Treasury; Didn't pay taxes for several years, used his kids camp attendance as a business write off,...

Tom Daschle for HHS withdrew his nomination because of tax issues.

Hillary Clinton for Secretary of State - many conflicts of interest because her husband has accepted millions of dollars from Arab countries for his foundation, library,....

Eric Holder for Attorney General - apologizes for "poor judgement" in signing off on the Marc Rich pardon, and for the pardons of FALN terrorists.

Majority Leader Harry Reid (D) described the Geitner tax problem as a "hiccup."

It seems that Democrat scandals, tax evasion, conflicts of interest,.... can be whitewashed by the elite media and political power brokers as honest mistakes or hiccups, while Republicans would have be driven out of town for much lesser offenses.
